subsonic should be right about at the tuning of your box.
    LP should be around 80hz

okay i will check that but i think the LP is right at 80...the sub sonic may be a little higher than the box... if these are set correctly what else could it be?

i dont know, but i do know if the subsonic is higher than tuning and the lp is 80 or below that doesnt leave very many frequencies for that sub to be hitting. I guess a 40hz range is what most subs hit anyways... i dont know. hopefully someone smarter will chime in.

Re: audioque hdc3 12 on a nine.1 and something is wrong...

LPF should be set between 75 and 100. Lower than 75 and you are cutting out a lot of mid bass.

    Multimeter is absolutely needed.
50hz -3db sin wave on cd
    Follow these steps:
    1.
Check how many volts your amp is putting out by playing the 50hz sin wave at listening volume with the multimeter.

watts = volts^2 / ohm - this is not the actual equation for it (real one involves a lot more variables) but it is a general rule to follow.

    2.
Now check how many volts its putting out inbetween 0 and listening volume, so about half way.

    3. Check your RCA volts from the deck by unplugging them from the amp and setting your DMM to AC~ touch the neg to the ground on the amp and the pos to the tip of the rca, do this at listening volume with the 50hz tone.

    Things to never do:

Never use bass boost on amp, adds tons of distortion.

Never turn the bass or sub level all the way up on the deck, it adds tons of distortion. Keep everything FLAT.

Never play 0db bass songs if amp tuned with -3db sin wave, you will clip the hell out of your amp and possibly blow the sub.
So i've given you all the tools needed, figure out whats wrong with her.

so my sub control on the deck should always be set to zero? is this correct?

well if it is 0 out of 5 then that's weird..

normally its like -5 to 5, in this case 0 would be the better option.. Flat

    what deck is it?

well i have a mp3 player hooked up to the aux input on my eclipse 5435...is that what you mean?
No I mean you have to completely bypass the head unit and use the MP3 player as a source directly to the amp.

Also your subsonic filter doesn't have to be at box tuning, it can be a little under.

Set your subsonic at 28-30 and lpf 80-100
