    sound deadener

does this stuff work good? i was thinking of getting it for my car for 2 6x9's but I am not sure if it is a rumble or if its just the speakers distorting. What exactly does sound deadener do? Do u think if i put it on my rear deck i would get better sound from my 6x9s? They are 100 watts RMS each.

sound dampers will do a lot of things depending on where you install them
if you do the rear dash, and you have 6x9's in the dash it will help keep the vibrations down some. it can also help improve midbass, SQ, reduce distorion, reduce road noise etc.
are you running an amp to the 6x9's? if not, they will distort at high volumes.

    Re: sound deadener

yes I have an amp giving 100 watts x 2 RMS at 4 ohms. The bass rumbles a lot and the treble sounds clear but the bass rumbles I think from what you said it would be good to purchase some of this stuff.

What if you were to cover all the surfaces in the trunck with sound deadener( or other comparable product)even the back of my rear seat. Would that be enough to stop my trunck and rear window from rattleing? Cause right now it moves up and down about an inch. And if so what products do you guys recommend?
