    02 taurus head unit

    does anyone know how to take of the taurus head unit because it is oversized and i dont know if it will fit the normal aftermarket head unit

    You need a special key to take it out. There are two of them and they are shaped like a U. You can get these just about anywhere..Wal mart, Autozone, etc..

    You will need an aftermarket radio mounting kit. You can get one of these at a local audio shop or online.

    Here is a link to the Kit you will need.

    The tuner pack is located on the drivers side rear fender. You have to run a wiring harness and antenna (included in the kit) from the tuner pack to the front of the car. Its not a hard install..Just kinda time consuming for a deck.

    You will also need a wiring harness.
