line drivers?

would it be worth adding a line driver to my system if my hu has a 1.8volt preout¿? how much of a difference would it make?
any comments welcome thanx.

IMHO no. I don't think it would be worth the extra expense. It wouldn't make enough difference to warrant the extra expense.

ok thats what i needed to hear... i though if i could find a cheap one id give it a try, but if its not worth all the trouble id rather invest on another sub/amp

well I am running 5 volts of the head unit and then through an Audio control 4.1 and then to an overdrive for the subs, it made a huge difference, but then again I was starting with more volts to begin with so hard to say
