    Isobaric for spl?

I'm using winisd to figure a good spl box for 2 cerwin vega 18 strokers and it says that i'll have more spl with an isobaric setup then a normal setup. Does anybody use isobaric setups at comps, are they any good for spl?

isobaric will make 2 subs sound like 1 in terms of spl, but deep as 2 and better SQ
dont expect a gain in spl though.

The only real advantage to isobaric design is when space is limited, you can use two drivers in half the space required for one driver....

NNOOOOOOO not a good choice for SPL. Theoretically In a push pull isobaric installation. You will only lose 3db from the normal two sub setup. With subs now a days isobaric installations are pretty much pointless. The original idea with isobaric was to cut the box size in half. Now the boxes for single subs are allready cut in half from what they used to be. So it's kind of pointless other than for show.

    5 % equipment
    90 % install
    5% beer
