I found a 135amp alternator for my integra, 199. The 150 amp alternator is 249.

What kind of alt do i need for that kinda power?

First try and find a D class amp. You dont really need 2200watts for your 90% daily driving. Maybe 1000-1500 if you "had to" have that much power. Get the biggest alternator you can find, which I guess is that 150. Then maybe a red top under the hood. If you still having dimming, get a yellow top to store in the back just to power your amp...

    yeah, add LOTS of caps

seriously though, 2200watts at moderate levels might still introduce dimming with just 150A. If you had your engine running (to get full power out of the alt) it might be alright. Someone mentioned 180A, I think that SHOULD suffice.

I'd spend a bit more and get the LARGEST possible. If you REALLY need something like a 180A alt, get it custom made (it's not going to be cheap).

You could have just Yellows powering your amps.. and not go through this whole alt situation..?

ok well i can't find it, but i think he said for 1400rms-1800rms you would need a 180amp alt to be good....so i figure 2200rms would need about 220, you would rather be safe then sorry, if your alt blows after a few years then buy another it will be expensive!

You shoudl be fine with the 150a alt....just stop running your subs when you get about 5 minutes away from your destination as to let your alt recharge the battery. I have seen so many people on here that swear by bigger alts....but I have yet to see the need, I have a buddy running about 1500-1700watts RMS and he is using a stock alt in a 95 cutlass....working fine. Be careful how often you crank it, and you should be fine in my opinion

Fuc, how come when I copy and paste **** it never gives me the cool blue thing in my sig. Sonofa*****withhotredtabascosauceonmynutz!!!!!
