This is kinda generalizing, I know, but what frequency ranges are normally considered "bass" and "mid Bass"?
20-50 hz bass, 50-150 hz mid bass? Is there a standard definition?

Midbass is not an exact set of frequencies..but between 50hz and around 200 hz.
Anything lower is more feel bass and above that is midrange..driver parameters make up what freqs they play as well as the driver diameter so nothing is a set value.

most people call mid bass 100-250 hz ..its the snappy bass still basically non directional
Sony Mobile ES C-90 Audison Bit-One
Audison LRx 3.1 MT

DB Drive K5 15
Kinetik 1400HC
avital 2200 alarm
dynamat extreme
I'd go ahead and say up to 300 hz, would be mid bass. Basically I usually set mid bass between 100-300 hz.
