    New Guy New Head Unit

Hey guys looking for some help.

Im looking for a head unit that controls bass, sounds good, and most importantly, DOES NOT SKIP. Im trying not to go over $150, and DEF not over $200. It only has to be a one CD changer, MP3 support is a plus.

For further info its a 96 Hyundai Elantra. thanks guys.

You get what you pay for, just like your car :p
Look into Kenwood. Clarion's lowest MP3 deck might be for under 200.

EDIT: You can get the Clarion DXZ635MP for about 160 on ebay, or the DXZ735MP for 180ish... i'd say go with the 735

1995 Camry LE 4 Cylinder Automatic Sedan
Green Silver Pearl Metallic Clearcoat and/or Silverleaf Metallic
    No performance mods
    Clear bumper lights
    Clarion DXZ835MP
Boston Acoustics ProSeries 6.53 in doors and Q-Logic kicks
    Polk/Momo 4 channel amp

    Pioneer DEH-P4500MP MP3 $159.00
    MP3 CD-ROM Playback
    JVC KD-S890 MP3 $157.00
    Blaupunkt MP3000 MP3 $145.00
    Blaupunkt San Jose MP3 $155.00

Those are some that have been recommended to me. Are they any good? the last one seems good for its price. keep in mind the car was a gift, as is this is going to be, so i cant spend that much money. thanks.

    Head unit to buy

I have a new Kenwood 2022,and i think they sound good, although i prefer the older kenwoods as they had fewer buttons to figure out.Got my first alpine 7814 for my work truck yesterday, and it sounds good as well. Only advice i can give is the old Sonys are total junk. Kenwood has never given me any problems.

    Sony Junk

I had many of the older Sony cd players, never had any of the ES Stuff. I just stick with Kenwood now.
