i never heard either but proper tuning and setup is the most important thing

you can take a $10k speaker in a crappy setup and it wont sound good
you can take $80 speakers in a good setup and can sound great.

Forget the caps and use that money to pay for your comps.

my sub box puts out 40 amps and my speakers amp will put out around 35 or so


is there a chance ill run out of juice? id like to prevent that
i want to be able to run ac and stuff as well

do the Big 3, upgrade your main battery first before you buy a capacitor, then if you need more juice in the future, buy another battery for the trunk and run 1/0 gauge wire to the rear battery.

how much will that cost me? im trying to stay under 900 bucks
with the 4 speakers, amp, head unit, and 4 year warranty, i run at about $776

i could go a lil cheaper if i get the KS model speakers which is 75 watts... 25 watts less than the RS

you gotta remember music is dynamic... not constant power... and then there is the battery to fill in the spots when the alt cant keep up... and its not that caps do nothing... they do help ( a little) but the amount of money you can spend on a cap you can spend on as stated above, the big 3 and another batt... but they will help ALOT more than a cap or two or ten

Just get a set of comps and a 2 channel amp for the front and forget about the back. That'll save you some money. What sweet sub do you have?

well its 2 12inch infinities with a 1000w kenwood amp

my buddy designed the box and it pumps out to the max it can handle

its good enough for me... and he charged me everything for 150



i kinda wanna get the 4 speaker combo since I want to go all out with the money that i have

i can get 2 power electroniX caps for 45 bucks each (2 farad)
thats really cheap imo


my real main concern is if the 75 KS is just as good as the 100w RS

That Kenwood amp is only rated at 500 watts, not 1000. You want to look at the rms, not peak. Do you know the voice coil configuration of your subs? You need to know that to see if you need a 1 ohm stable amp or not. What's the rms rating on the subs?

The majority of people here don't upgrade their rear speakers because most believe it sounds better without them. That's more of a strain on your electrical system to get a larger amp if you upgrade those too.

I would try it with the battery you have now, then upgrade it and do the big 3 if you get dimming.

Forget the capacitors.

I've never used kicker components so I can't comment on those.

I want to get the 4 speakers for sure... that way i dont have to upgrade later...

the stock back speakers are blown and sound like crap

but you say I should just go with the stock battery for now? or did you mean with only 2 speakers.
