System tuning help

I got my stuff installed yesterday, but I need some help tuning.

I am using a 3sixty.2, with XXX Components, an fi Q 15, and 2 amps.

The installer did the following:

Band pass on the comps: 120-3250, tweets 3250+, 24DB/octave drop
Sub comes in at 80, 24db/octave drop.

Right now, it sound like *** . Its sounds like its all treble, and the sound is shifted to the left a lot. If I fade to the right a little, it sounds better and more balanced.

Also, there does not seem to be any bass up front, only the subs massive booming. Am I missing something here?

thats a really high hp for the xxx mids lol. try high passing them at 60hz or not at all. they should be able to play pretty low. lp pass the sub at around 50-60hz. play with that till it blends with the front stage. also sounds like you could use some time alignment. you could benefit by going active as well if you know how. i wouldt let the "installer" touch your stuff if thats how he set it up.

The mids and tweets are running active crossovers from the 3sixty, as well as the sub.

they were cheap, and the actual install looks really good. Also, I can do time delay on the sixty. Do I want to delay the left speakers to match the distance of the right ones?

turn that lowpass filter off on the mids. cut em around 25-3k and let the tweet take over. you may want to try a different slope too. i recommend 12db slope.

your subs should be at 50-63 and lower, 24db slope is fine for the subs.

anyone else have an opinion. I would normally not bump this fast, but I am in my car with my laptop doing the config.

yeah thats how ta works. follow what was said and tell us how it turns out. then we can go from there.

I set the time correct for the left tweeter and mid for 3' 2", and that helped some.

Mids are now 60HZ-2500HZ, and I changed them to 12db/octave rolloff. I am hearing a lot more bass up front, but I was under the impression that these would act like a 6.5" sub that could also cover the mid range.

Also, I still think there is something wrong with the wiring. The left side seems much louder than the right. If I fade to the right a little, it seems to even out. Maybe they swapped a L/R wire?

maybe your equipment needs some break in time
