alpine mrp m500

just bought a new sub for my truck
kicker cvr 15 inch
with a alpine mrpm500
it has three settings on it
gain of course and bass eq
it also has lp filter what is this?
and how does it work?
which would make it sound the BEST

I woudd set the LPF cross-over@around 50.The bass boost around 2/3 and your gain depending on the voltage of your pre-outs.If you have an Alpine headunit and have a remote bass knob installed in-line,put the bass knob on full ,and the gain on full,then when you turn the knob to the left ,the bass is less,to the right ,bass boost is on full.That is how the mrp-450m's are set for Alpine anyway.Hope that helps.................

If you want to cook your amp and woofer do it his way^^^. Otherwise look at the stickys in the amplifier section. Read the gain setting tutorial. It will help you out.
