4 Gauge Or New Amp?
My Buddy Wired My System In My Expedition, I Have A Punch P400 4 Ch amp Hooked Up To My pioneer door speakers And A Punch P500 2ch amp Hooked Up To My 2 P2's 12's In A Box. He Used 8 Gauge Wire for Everything. Someone Told Me It Would Hit Alot Harder If He Ran 4 Gauge Wire, It's Loud And Clear But it seems like it should hit harder, Should I change the wire to 4 gauge, or Get A Bigger Amp? Any Suggestions Would Be Greatly Appreciated.

Re: 4 Gauge Or New Amp?
well, if you get a bigger amp, you're going to need bigger wires anyway. you may get less voltage drop by upgrading to larger wire, but not likely audible in this case. you should be concerned with proper fusing at the battery to protect the wire.

Re: 4 Gauge Or New Amp?
first off how are the subs wired, because the specs say 500 rms @ 2 ohms which is decent, and yes I wouldnt had use a 8 awg wire. I pretty sure the amp manual even said use AT LEAST A 4 AWG.
