    consistency of resin?

Doing a glass pod for my door panels, and my neighbor gave me some resin. Its THICK. Is it possible the resin is too old to use? OR is it normal to be thick. It doesnt seem to be hardening, and the bucket I mixed it in isnt getting warm yet..

Its so thick, its hard to pour, but it is like 20 degrees outside...

    Re: consistency of resin?

Yes resin can get old over time. Also its usually not a good idea to use in cold temperatures since it takes more harderner to work and that can cause warping.

Even when fresh it doesnt pour like a liquid, it kinda has the consistency of maple syrup.

    Re: consistency of resin?

Resin has a shelf life of about a year or two. Bring the jug inside for a few days. 70 degrees is optimal for working with it but 80 is best. Use a tarp and space heater for the winter stuff thats what I do. MEKP dispensers are sweet but I usually mix mine hotter than necessary.
