Why do my speakers/tweeters crackle when there are bass lines? HELP

I have a Alpine cda-9885 which I installed, connected to Rainbow slc 265 components (which were professionally installed at a trusted dealer), unamplified rear fill, and 2 10inch subs (professionally installed). Two amps, one for the subs, one for the components. Gains set accordingly (not anywhere near full blast).

The weird thing is that when there is bass/midbass I can hear what sounds like a speaker that has been blown... the thing is that it is in all of the speakers. Also, when there are deeper bass notes, it seems like the volume of my tweets stalls out.

It is sometimes more noticeable than others.

Any ideas of what it is? I don't think the speakers are blown. Something to do with the wiring of the headunit?

    Thanks.

The high pass crossovers on the HU are on. Also the HU is in bypass mode... i think.

I'm thinking that the tweets are playing low frequencies they shouldn't be playing, which is caused by an error in the x-over network. I'd suggest you take your car to the installer and let them know your problem, so they have it fixed.

Your tweeter may be damaged due to their install.

Check the quality of the tracks you are listening to. if you can hear such things on a real CD... then it sounds like your speakers to me
