Trying to find a good subsonic filter for my set-up before I finish installing it. I don't want to spend to much on one but if I have to I will, any suggestions would be great. BTW I have a Orion 12d powered by a JBL 1200.1 amp, don't wanna fock this sub up, I want do it right the first time. Thanx.

They are called FMODS and have a theoretical 12db/octave roll off. They are about $25 for a pair and are as simple to install as plugging in a RCA.

In short, there was a future to live for--and they detonated it anyway."

No subsonic filter for a sealed enclosure, as mentioned above. Many of the "good"(better?) amps have subsonic filters anyways.

Not really. A subsonic filter can help your amp and subwoofer
alike in a ported or sealed enclosure.

Your amp won't have to put out power robbing sub-sonic
bass. Remember lower bass just eats up amp power.
This helps the amp run more efficient.

The subwoofer won't be bothered with useless sub-sonic bass
that only pulls away from the fundamental bass material.
Cleaner sounding bass. Less wear on subwoofer.

The sub-sonic filter IS more helpful in ported situations
    at preventing subwoofer damage.

But using it with a sealed enclosure is not pointless. It can
be helpful for your amp and sub. But it is not needed like in
    a ported situation.
