    2 amps, 3 subs....

Well my friend wanted 3 subs, and then he needed amp/s. The subs are 750 rms, and i told him to prob. just stick with 3 or 1 amp/s. How hard is it to wire 2 of the same amps with three 750 rms DVC subs? (kicker L7's)

    Impedance of subs? Amp specs?

And the gains or have to be set exactly the same on both amps.

Well......it's possible. If they are DVC, you could wire a set of voice coils to each amp. Or you could strap the amps together and have one as a slave, one as a master - provided the amps are strappable. It's much easier to either stick with 1 or 3 amps, or just get 2 subs and one amp. Two L7's is more than enough IMO....
