How do I wire my sub for 1 Ohm? RF P312D2

Sub: 2 Rockford Fosgate P312D2 (Click here for wiring diagrams from Rockford Fosgate's website.)
    Amp: MA Audio HK1000D (1 x 1000W RMS @ 1 Ohm, 1 x 800W RMS @ 2 Ohm, 1 x 500W RMS @ 4 Ohm)

Looking at the link above (wiring diagrams), I see how to wire it at 1 Ohm for 1 sub, but I only see 2 Ohms or 0.5 Ohms when trying to hook up 2 subs. Can it be done?

    Thanks!

+ to + then - to - together for the coils, then place on appropriate speaker terminals.

EDIT : Reading > Me... I thought you had one sub, no you can't use 4 2ohm coils to get a 1 ohm load.

Thanks for the help. Could you by any chance help me out a little and fill in the blanks for me on this picture?

Re: How do I wire my sub for 1 Ohm? RF P312D2

I don't think it can handle the .5 ohm load, but you could try it with gains VERY conservatively set. THIS IS MOST LIKELY VOID ANY WARRANTY SO DO AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Re: How do I wire my sub for 1 Ohm? RF P312D2

How many Watts are the P312D2 running at 2 Ohms? Does anyone know? I can only find where it shows that each sub is 500W RMS. I can't find anywhere that states how many Ohms it has to be running at for 500W RMS.

No no you got it ALL mixed up. I'll see if I can explain it.

What you have to do is figure out the output @ what ohms your amp is. Subs don't have stats @ certain ohms. 500WRMS means that you need to figure out what ohm configuration you need to set up for your amp to send 500W to the sub.

Example: an amp that gives 1000W @ 2 ohm would be perfect.

In a nutshell: its the AMP that depends and runs on ohm levels, not subs.

You explained it perfectly. Thanks! Since my amp is 800W RMS at 2 Ohms, that is what my 2 subs will run at (400W RMS each). Gotcha!

Thanks a lot for clearing that up. I feel pretty stupid.
