Pioneer DEH-P940MP Vs Alpine CDA-7995

I want to upgrade my head unit but I cant decide between the Pioneer DEH-P940MP and the Alpine CDA-7995. Both are pretty high end units, but which one would be best over the other and why? Any help would be great thanks..

hehe I love the DEH-940MP, had a chance to play with it at Ultimate Electronics, it can be confusing just standing there without a manual, but it has some great featues, although yea I know the price is pretty big. ($400 on ebay, maybe a little lower, being the 2002 model)
Sorry, I can't comment on the Alpine, just for the fact that I've never used it, let alone see it.

Buy the Alpine. I've had a DEH-P740MP and hated it. Sold it on EBay about a month after buying it. The display is horrible, the lag time between MP3 tracks is long enough that you find yourself forgetting what song last played, and the features --while numerous-- are illogically arranged and leave you wishing for the sweet kiss of simplicity.

the 940 is quite a bit different, depending on year (02) has 6V pre-outs, which i heard was bad, since most amps wont take it or something but the '03 has 4V outputs, and is supposed to be out right now, but obviously more expensive than the 02 series because of the year, I guess. You can find the 02 model for about 400 on ebay, so if you wanna spend that kinda money, go for it, if not (what is the price of the alpine?) go for the alpine.

alpine 7995 is about 330-350 on ebay. id pick the alpine over the pioneer without a question.

I have had several Alpines as well as Pioneers. I have found that Alpine have better sound quality(better da converters and sweater highs) and I have had great luck with them. I am getting a new car this week and I already ordered a 7995 for it I think you would be really happy with this HU.
