and wut ohm is it? since the sub is a dual 2 ohm then you can only wire it at 1 ohm or 4 ohm so it dependes if your amp is 1 ohm stable

take one set of coils to one channel and the other to the other channel

It is...mainly because you can't get the settings right, if the amp is 2 ohms per channel, it'll probably bridge to 4 ohms, so wire the sub in a series.
That's your best bet.
