RMS on a DD 1508

anyone know the rms and max rating for the DD 1508's off hand? saw louisiana crx was doind 150+ with 4 8's. i will receive my 4 8's in the mail by friday. just wondering how far gone i am compared to DD

well ****. im very far gone. lol i should have saved my money and picked up those soundsplinters. theyre 400-500rms and i belive cheaper than the 1508's. the ones i ordered are 200rms/400 max and ill be pushing it pretty close to 1,000 if i can without clipping. 1,000 watts is my goal out of these 4 8's

he also had an *** load of power, loaded them behind glass and has broken 150 with other setups more than a few times.

people see people like tommy, lloyd and for this example, dave. And they think if they buy the subs they are going to put crazy numbers

no because i didnt buy them. i was comparing the RMS rating to see how much more power the 1508 has compared to mine. kthx. i understand what your saying tho, but its not what im doing. if it was dont you think i would have tried to copy tommy and just buy a single 10" type r?

RMS power ratings are NOT a good way to compare drivers. Sub "A" having an RMS higher than sub "B" does not mean that sub "A" will be louder.

1000 rms will be perfect for 4 8's. i believe DD is pretty modest with there numbers, and can take quite a bit of abuse. you'll be fine

and DD's can handle a lot more than RMS rating for sure. Right?

just use clean 2.5k and youll be happy.
don't waste time on numbers, 150 for daily can not be broken with 4x8", in trunk, SQ/SQL box, more power that they can handle... many factors! so 2.5-3k

you don't need that much power to be happy with those... and those specs are on the ddwebsite....
