question about optima d3 battery???

if i installed an Optima D34/78 Yellow Top battery, would i have to install it in the trunk and under the hood. if i installed it in the trunk would i run the wires to be existing battery or to alt... thanks.....

Actually I'd like to know as well. I'm in the market to add a second battery, and I'd like to know how to hook it up as well.
