    $4-500

I'm trying to help my friend out with a system, he said he wants something clean and doesn't necessarily have to be boomy, and he knows nothing about car audio, so I suggested 2 12" alpine type- r's and a jbl 600.1, and I was gonna build him a sealed box. And he said he wants a h/u under $300, so I said the alpine 9807. Anyone got any better suggestions? It's all gonna go in a 96 tahoe.

I had 2 typr 12's on a jbl1200 and they took it fine , I dont know how they would do on 600 watts , Probably sound good but not real loud , They did sound quit nice compared to some other subs I have had ! I may change the amp for a little better one thou , The Us amps are going cheap on ebay ! and sound much much better than the jbl !

I don't believe hes doing speakers, just an amp and 2 subs, hes fixed on 12's tho, but he said the deck will be extra, so 4-500 just for subs and amp.

I dunno, maybe cuz of the big trunk(?). He doesnt know much about car audio though. Hes pretty dumb, he wants to take a regular tv and stick it in his car, I laughed at him

    Haha, will do.
Got a ? for ya, I hooked up my new amp(in profile) to my old MTX 6000's, 3 of em, at 4 ohms, amp is doin about 600 watts. I'm getting a light buzzing noise from my speakers, and I checked all the wires and everything, and unplugged the RCA's and it stopped, so I know its the amp, any idea what it could be? It's starting to **** me off.

See, this is why you buy a more expensive amplifier So you don't get this kind of noise :p
It did at all the volumes, and when I put it on 0, it stopped. The gains are about half way I believe, I think I'm gonna re-run everything tomorrow.
