    More Questions about Spl lol

    ok I think the set up im going to go with is 2 image dynamic Idmax 12' (v3. if i can fin them in 4 ohm) and im thinking of getting a custom ported box to fit in a trunk space of 19' 32'...... will it be worth it? im gonna be using a hifonics hercules ampabout 1600 watts total will I have enough space for the subs to hit 150db or higher for comps?

    first off, is the car a trunk or is it a hatch back. Trunks by nature will work against you. Hatch's will help. That will be your biggest hurdel

    its a regular trunk.....and ive already order them thier on there way ill let yall know how they turn out should i put them in a ported....or sealed box i want somesq with about 140db

    well the amp im getting has a subsonic filter... so im thinking about getting a tuned box but would that sound really bad for everday use?

    don't know much about those subs really. I only see them in the lanes next to me at comps. They all praise them. Haven't personally seen any big numbers with them in my classes. SS1-2NW, but I run strokers too. Anxious to here what they do for ya

    Stay sealed with the amount of power you are going to deliver to them. They have a fairly fragile coil system that really isn't suitable for huge constant power loads in straining situations.

    Even sealed, with that amount of power and cone area, you should be near, or above 140 fairly easily.
