Chances are they have a sign saying "not responsible for theft or damage to cars on the premises" or something like that.

How can they legally do that? I know it would probably hold up in court, but morally if a customer leaves a vehicle in your possesion I think you should take some action to keep it safe...

x2 make sure you get evidence that there is no sign present that says, "not responsible for theft or damage to cars on the premises" The bastards can always put up a sign and say it was always there. For all you know, they could've done that ****.

    Re: my nav got stolen,

it was on their property. it was their responsibility. they didn't ensure to keep the shop secure enough. they should be responsible. i'd fight it and fight it til it got overturned.

Most shops that have those signs keep a receipt of when the sign was purchased, so I would guess if they cant provide a receipt proving the date of purchase then he would win (if that happened to be the case.)

    Re: my nav got stolen,

Any chance the shop was in on it?

about mismatching the kenwood and alpine, highly doubt it would work.

    Re: my nav got stolen,

yea she put it in the shop for some minor BS work like brakes and tires or something , next day her subs/headunit/amp is gone , her mother + her raised hell and they (the shop) played the trump card and pointed at the sign
