How do you use an oscilloscope??

I work at a pawn shop and we just put a Fluke 123 out for sale. I am most likely going to put it on eBay.

I am going to take advantage of the situation and set my gains correctly.

Does anyone know how to use them??? If so, can you explain it???

i am not sure of that exact model, so i can't tell you the controls. but you put the positive lead on + and ground the neg lead. then proceed to look at the screen. i am sure you can get the manual online to figure out the buttons.

They're pretty hard to explain how to operate. You'll need to find a manual or if yer lucky a paper online from a ECE university course with simplified instructions.

^^ thats what i'm saying. if you don't know what you are doing they aren't going to be much good. it's just hard to explain it on the interweb. if you feel like driving to Chicago i can show you :P
