quick question

ok this is probly gonna be the stupidest question asked on this board but i have a stock cd player that skips every now and then and i wanted to know if replacing the HU even if it doesnt have a "cd slot" on it will fix it. (thinkin of the alpine cda-7875)

Have you tried to clean your stock H.U. ? Sometimes the laser inside gets dirty cause it to skip .
