    Power vs Voltage

I was just wondering how much a loss in voltage can affect the amount of power your amp is supplying. For example the digital readout on my amp never goes above 13.8 with the truck started, and never goes above 11.8 with it off. Just estimating how much power can plus .6 volts amount to?

    Take it easy.

It depends on the type of power supply used in the amp...

most amps, you'd lose around 1/12th of the full power amount availible from the amp....

Thanks, for most people, that probably isn't even worth upgrading the alternator for.
