JL XR's vs Alpine Type X comps

Which one for SQL, so to speak

    Clarity is key on them

Sending 100x2 to the set, keep that in mind

    All opinions welcomed

I've heard the VR's from JL and they sounded good, so I'm hoping the XR's will live up to what I expect. No clue what the Alpine's sound like.

I just bought them for the Subaru. It was between these and the Eclipse SC8365s, but I was able to get a set of the Type X for under $200. I will try them out after hearing good things about them.

Re: JL XR's vs Alpine Type X comps

That thread says that 8365's are the better set

When you get the Alpine's installed would you be willing to meet me?

    I'm in Newnan, GA

Yes, but $310 vs $180, so I thought I would try out the Alpine. That and the Alpine were very close to the Eclipse in the author's opinion.

Sure, but it may be a week or two.

Re: JL XR's vs Alpine Type X comps

Once again - I'm biased towards CDT because I have never heard them and have no way of hearing them

That's fine, I'd be glad just let me know, where in Atlanta are you located?

Re: JL XR's vs Alpine Type X comps

CDT are deffinately great sounding speakers for the price. IMHO they are better sounding than the type-X components, but each has their own taste.

CDT also has great customer service. My brother had a tweet go out on him, called CDT, they asked for his address and shipped a new one out without sending the old one in, or any substantial questioning...got there in a week.

Fuc, how come when I copy and paste **** it never gives me the cool blue thing in my sig. Sonofa*****withhotredtabascosauceonmynutz!!!!!
