whats first? sub VS speakers

what should i do first? either the sub and amp or the components and amp?

i plan to get all of that eventually but dont have all the cash at the moment. btw summore info, im only gunna upgrade the front speakers, and use that 4 channel amp and bridge the 4 into 2 channels to the fronts and power the rears off of the stock HU.

so any im not sure what to do first. i want the added bass, but my friend said i need to do components first because otherwise bass will drown it all out unless i upgrade the components. hope that makes sense...so what should i do? thanks!

Personally I would rather have something that sounds better first, before I had bass. I would reccommend to go ahead and get the components and get them sounding good before you add a sub. What good is a nice sounding sub is thats the only thing that has quality sound?

actually my stock speakers sound amazingly good for stock. however, you are probably right...in another forum someone said that most aftermarket speakers would be better than any stock speakers

Id say it depends on if your dying for bass. Im sure one is more important to the other to ya. Im a basshead so bass 1st. My first system had stock crap speakers and two twelves for awhile, heh

hmmmm...well i dont want it to be drowned out w/ bass, so idk...id rather do it all at one time but i dont have the funds.

also, since ill have 2 amps, will i need a power distributor? who makes good ones?

Sounds like you don't want the bass 1st, so you just answered your question.

It's a good idea to get a power distribution block as then you can run 1 larger gauge to the batt then you can split it since you have more than one component. As far as brands go they are all about the same, just try to find a good deal and figure if your going to add any more things to power, if you are then get a 4 way dist.

well i guess what im tryin to figure out is, if i got the sub first will everything be drowned out in bass? if it will then i think ill go speakers first, or try to do it all at once. if not then ill go ahead and get the subs first thanks

1st option add your components first...you will get clearer sound and get a tad of midbass.

2nd option get sub and if you turn the bass control down if you have one with the amp....btw if your stock speaker sound pretty good and get loud than I think if you just set the bass low you'll be fine.

3rd option but no one would want it heh...wait till you can add it all at once
