Pioneer DEH-P440 looks too good to be true

I currently have a JVC 780 head unit. I get very frustrated in that I can't turn the bass from my sub down without losing the bass coming from my full range speakers. This means I lose some of the richness of deep male vocals and the like.

The Pioneer DEH-P440 seems to have everything I would need to fix this problem. I realize it doesn't have flashly looks or a high price tag (good thing), but it does come with the following:

    XM satalite ready
    Front/Rear HPF
    Selectable LPF
    Independent subwoofer control
    2 V preouts

This is a drastic improvement over my JVC unit isn't it? The Price is right at $170. Let me know what you guys think.

You might want to look at sony's HU's if you are looking for features like that. I bought mine about a year and a half ago and it is loaded with useful stuff, and I havent ever had a problem with it. I think the model # is SONY CDC-8050x or something like that.
