New pics: Sealing doors, sound deadening, Better than the best

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

rather than bumping a previous thread I thought I would start a new one. This is the same project I have been working on, but now I am at the point where I am sealing the doors. Let me know what you think of this process.

I'm sure it made a big difference. I bet it also added 15 lbs to each door.

    Looks great!

Whew...I was wondering if you were gonna cover that other hole on the right.

As im sure you already know an easy way to get arond that door hnadle rod is to just wrap it in flexloom, than lay the dampning over it.

BTW, Ill call ya with my order this week.

Great work. I was wondering how long the spectrum took to dry then cure... same with the sludge?

also, how long did all that work take you to do? Must have taken a while because that looks like a lot of work.

Re: New pics: Sealing doors, sound deadening, Better than the best

I used the sludge on the inside of the outer door skin, and then just used 1 big sheet of Cascade vb-2 to cover where the moisture barrier used to be. That door looks like massive overkill to me. If I pull off my door panel again soon, I'll post a pic, though I guess it can look gnarly as it's all under the door panel. Dont forget to get a good seal between the door panel grille and the speaker rim. That makes a big difference too.
