    Box size for 3 Kicker L7 12s Dual4s

OK I have 3 Kicker L7 12s... I wanna go with a vented or ported box!! This is gonna be for SPL but in a everyday driver.. The amp is a US Amps VLX-400---2400Wrms@1 ohm..
I made up a box design on CadKey at school but i figured out when i did the volume inside it was only 6 cubes..I will need somewhere around 9cubes right????

So will the box sizes vary between ported and vented or is this the same?
I have only built Sealed boxes that pounded but I hear with the L7s they get real loud ported/vented.

Sorry if I confused anyone lol

    Thanks in advance

    Jay

you can do each in as small as 1.75, but 2.0 ported per driver works....

I had a generation 1 S12L7 Dual 4s. I put it in a 1.75 cf box just as Kicker recamends w/450wrms to it. Hit 141.1 in a 94 Olds Bravada. Sounded very nice. 6 cf will be fine.

    Re: Box size for 3 Kicker L7 12s Dual4s

Okay say i was making the vent and my box was alot deeper than the vent could i do this: because all the ones i see go to the back of the box and turn down a bit

lets say like 22 deep box
    -------------------------------
    ---------------
this is a 14 inch vent and how deep it goes into the box

Is that fine???/ sorry about the LAME *** pic its late and dont feel like drawin it up..
Also sorry about the Q's I have neve made a vented box and I really want these to SLAM hard as hell..

I like this forums tho lots of help on here compaired to others...they just start talking about differnt subs and amps and ****.
