Not to be an azz, but if you are a store owner, even if it's on the internet, you will be expected to act a bit more professional with spelling and capitilization and such. You are just a shop or do u also install?

Do what you can to get some demo vehicles, pass out flyers advertising a car show sponsored by your shop and hold it in the parking lot or something, ect. ect.

Re: new shop why is it so hard to get one started

I wonder how many boxes i would have sold if i conversed with people using that kind of grammar. Unless youre foreign i would look into taking an english class before anything. Nothing worse than going to a store and not being able to hold a conversation with the worker. Good luck with the shop.

X2 on all of that. Put on a couple competitions/ shows and make a few demo vehicles using the products you sell. TV advertising can be fairly inexpensive if you're only doing it locally. I would also recommend Newspaper, flyers, and radio. To start that is.

Re: new shop why is it so hard to get one started

Thanks for all the input. would like to get some bigger names but don't have the funds for the firts time start up. Most of the big names ask for $1500 and up to be a dealer for them. Thanks again for your input...... I haved talked to some of the dj's from a local radio show but havn't got anything yet still trying.

Re: new shop why is it so hard to get one started

no way in hell you are 30...

no way in hell you have even thought about where to rent yet....

a lot of this is just common sense.. Carry stuff people want... carry popular brands that people will come to you looking for... advertise.. have big signs outside your shop... ads in local papers on local radio stations... flyer cars at clubs, bars, strip clubs... have a booth at any local conventions..

do you have any real experience working at a shop? are you certified for this type of work? are you going to hire installers?

lameee.... you dont have $1500 to open an account with better brands? write a buisness plan and goto a bank...

if you dont carry product people want you will never be successful...

What type of city/town do u live in? do you think it has the type of people living in it that want this type of store? and does it have enuff of them?

    etc etc etc etc
