    finished my sub box (PIC)

    http://img267.echo.cx/my.php?image=sick0278hb.jpg

there she is! what do yall think?...wasnt 2 hard...sounds alot better than the prefab box. you see the pair of 6x9s? i was thinking to make a bracket that goes inbetween the two subs and holds the 6x9 box a lil over the seats...would that make the subs sound diff? or any other problems with doing this?

Looks solid, if the particle board holds.

It shouldn't make the subs sound different, I wouldn't think.

theres quite a bit of pressure in a box when a sub is moving, now that i think of it i wonder exactly what it is?

anyways maybe some internal bracing with dowels or somthing, should stiffen it right up

Yes the pressure inside will cause the enclosure to flex. Plywood will flex more than high density particle boare (nova ply) or MDF

HDPB(nova ply) has the same strength of MDF but swells if water comes in contact with it.

MDF has same strength as hdpb and wont swell

man....two chevys both with at least 200,000 miles on each and still running strong. Biggest mechanic cost I think was $400 or so.

of course ive never owned a ford so i have a bias, but in my experience, chevy has been a good brand.

Why did you use plywood instead of mdf? other than that looks good.
