Hey, just looking for specs on an SQL enclosure for a Bhrama MK II 15. Port volume, cubic feet, etc. Or just flame me for not paying a competent party for an awesome design...![]()
Thanks in advance.

Okay, sorry, that was a post and run.
The vehicle in question is a Ford Escort Station Wagon. The Porsche wont be done till August.
The amp in question has now changed: It's the Clarion DPX100.2. 1000 watts (give or take, prolly like 500-600 rms). The other one ended up in my friend's 'Burban.
I listen to generally everything. Metal (mostly), rap, jazz, techno, 80's whatever suits the mood.
THe setup i have now is literally painful. I would like something that will hit hard when it has to, but will have good all round SQ, and won't sound corrosive, sloppy and metallic like the one I have now. I am pretty much done ruining my eardrums.
I have anywhere from 2 cubes to 10+ cubes. The lighter the better, so i was thinking 3 or four cubes ported at about 28 htz should work nicely. I am going to probably attempt to fiberglass it somewhat, just for the experience.

Why port a 15" if you want SQ? Sealed on a 15 would produce a lot of low end.
Comming Spring 2009
I make rear-loaded, double crabshell, isobaric enclosures.
Actually, I was thinking on making the box ported and the right size and dim's for all out SPL , then make a port cover. I saw a sweet way to do it and just have to try it... Ported to SQ freq would be allright too, but read this:
What they did was took regular bolts (like you could buy anywhere) pretty skinny long ones (with nuts and 2 washers apiece). They made the port cover about 1.5" bigger on all sides so there was some overlap to work with. They drilled holes through both pieces of wood where they wanted the port cover to sit. Then they JB Welded the nuts lined up in the holes on the other side of the box, overtop of one of the washers (lots of Jb weld and scoring onthe surface of the MDF so she sticks good). Then, to cover the port all you had to do was stick the bolts through and tighten the cover down. It sealed very well, they had a rubber gasket as well. When you wanted to turn her loose, all you had to do was take the bolts out, take the cover off, then put the bolts back in the holes.
What do you think?

(triple post)
Well, does anyone know where I can buy a box designing program? I don't need anything but the math, just the internals so it sounds right...
