This is the start of the thread of my project I am building for my 2dr 2000 Blazer. It will house 3 12 w6v2's which will all be facing directly in the car with all 3 in a line right above the backseats. It will be flush from the roof to both side windows. There will be a storage box to go underneath the sub box which will house the amps, battery, xbox and all wires. When the tailgate glass is open the back of the box will be all fiberglassed perfectly (well hopefully ) with the side pillars and roof. Hopefully the pictures will explain clearer. BTW this is my first ever fiberglass box and 2nd ever box, so go easy on me.
Oh by the way, half way through the project I had a little run in with the table saw so half of the project was built with one hand. I got a little help with the glass from a friend.
Shot of hand.. the cut wraps around about an inch in on my palm which cant really be seen with this pic.
and another... This is the 2 days after and 14 stiches later. The cut went barely to the bone, luckily only scrapping of the tiniest bit of bone. It did cut cleanly through the superficial nerves leaving no feeling in my pinky forever which *****. Also got a minor tendon.
Pic of sub box. Thats the frame for the plexi in the middle and the frame for the two 5in screens on the sides. All mdf is 1" Extra dense and the plexi is 3/4".
and another.. This is a closeup of the TV frame. compare this to what I ended up have to do after the enclosure would fit in the car. I had to readjust the mounts for the tv frames AFTER it was already wrapped. That is why the mount looks good in the pic and terrible in the one later.
This where the subs will be mounted.. This will be flush with the ceiling and from side window to side window. This is the front of the box and will be seen right above the line of the back seats, as looking from the front of the car.
last one.. pic of plexglass frame. This will be the view as viewed from the back.
