    Re: Different types of box

    1st order; Infinite Baffle (no box, rear wave and front wave completely isolated by a baffle)

    [I'll through this one in here aswell]:
    Dipole:

    2nd Order; Ported :

    [I'll through this one in here aswell]:
    Passive Radiator

    3rd Order; Sealed:

    4th Order; Bandpass:

    [Bandpass boxes can also be 5th order through 12th order, for example]:

    6th Order Bandpass:

    Series Tuned 6th Order Bandpass:

    Then you have stuff like;

    Transmission Line:

    Folded Horn: http://www.adireaudio.com/Files/Temp...sHornPlans.pdf

    Tapered Quarter Wave Tube: http://yu-ra.tripod.com/tqwta.htm

    The different Isobaric configurations: http://jlaudio.com/tutorials/isobarik/index.html

    yadda yadda yadda.........

    Those are the main ones.
