a box that hits you hard, in the chest? I have a 10" SE.


Right now it's in a box 1.25 cf @ 35hz. Ported

Tune it low. 30Hz should be sufficient.

tuning low would peak in the low end frequencies, not the "hit you in the chest" tight bass.

The box right now would be ideal for that, u could try going sealed, but it wont have nearly the same amount of output.

nah u wouldnt want to do that. I think the box u have now is done right, but i saw the thread and since its made from particle board i think u could help it out alot by using fiberglass. Or just build a new one....

yea, i rebuilt the SAME EXACT box from MDF. I was just too lazy to post pictures of it, and now it's actually carpeted and is installed in my car already. It hits alright, but the bass isn't mmm quite punchy. As another member said, there's bass that kicks you in the nuts, and there's bass that hits you hard in the chest and makes it hard to breathe. I want to try out the hard to breathe one
