Hers my question I have mu mids in the stock door locations, the only problem is that they sit behind a hard plastic grill in the door that has small perforations in it
when playing the sound goes all over the door panel (since the mid does not sit flysh with the grill--so I think I lose some clarity since the midrange is being dispersed all over the inside of the door panel--then through the grille
I was thinking I would get a cleaner sound if I could bring the mids up to the face of the door panel (see the perforated sqaure in the first picture) and just cover them with thin grille of some sort
So I was wondering do I just cut the sqaure out, and then glass in some sort of hole, or do I have to glass the entire lower part of the door panel (wouldnt be so bad as I then could have selaed door posd )
any suggestiosn would be cool

options??
1) use the door coluem and make rings up to the face of the door panel so the woofer will still be is a IB environment just flsh with the door panel
2) take off the whole lower (beige) pocket area and make a sealed door pod covered in charcoal faux leather or something?
