    Demo RE Audio Jeep

A local business has just become a dealer for RE Audio, and they're using my Jeep as a demo vehicle. This is going in a Jeep Wrangler and will replace the back seat. Let me know what yall think. Its for 2 RE 12" XXX:
2.7 ft^3 per sub, tuned to 32 Hz
    port size is 2" x 8.25" x 12" for each sub

WOW, that port is WAAAYYYYY too small. I'd give them each 2.7 cubes NET w/ AT LEAST 40 in^2 of port. OR tell them to make it a common chambered box, 5.4 cubes NET and like 80 in^2 of port (to make it easier on the port length b/c of a larger box!) peace

    Re: Demo RE Audio Jeep

I tried that "WinISD Pro Alpha" for the first time to see what it thought the port size should be, and I thought it seemed a little small. Im close friends with the 2 guys of the business, and Im actually going to construct the box myself this weekend. I was going to put both sub in one chamber, but they only have 1 12" XXX on hand right now (actually its in my friends truck right now), but Im heading down to Destin next weekend, and they want to put the word out a little. This way, if I have 2 chambers, I can use just one sub for now, and add my own to it later. Itll look funny, but Ill just patch the other hole until I get back. So I need around 40 ft^2? Let me work the numbers real quick. Thanks for the quick response too.

Don't have the time to figure out what that'd be tuned to, but much better on the area.

    Re: Demo RE Audio Jeep

This would be right at 40 ft^2 if I did it this way, Im actually gonna use the space b/w my box and the rear of my jeep as part of the port, so this should work out nicely.

The port inside the box will be 22", and then there will be 3" of air b/w the box and my rear door, and then this will travel up the other 12", and this should be tuned to 32 Hz. Hows that?

    "Sketchup 4.0" by @Last Software

I highly recommend it for anything 3d, its quick and easy, I got it free through the college of architecture, but I think its around $500 for the public.

Wow. Hold on there buddy. The shop is using your vehicle as a demo car but you have to build it yourself???? Normally they build it...

And yes for a demo vehicle they are going to want to call re and get the best recomendations for that vehicle and equipment being ran.

Run the ports all the way across the bottom.

    Re: Demo RE Audio Jeep

    Whys that?

If I do that, I can keep the length the same, and change the internal dims to 2.5" x 15.875" (just under 40 ft^2), and then itll go all the way across the bottom, and still be tuned to 32 Hz.
