    Tuning for ported box daily/spl

Hey, I own to 15'' solobaric L7's. Right now I am running each in a ported box about 4.3 ft^3 each. I am not sure of what the tuning is because I did not make these box the guy i bought the subs from did. Anyways I'm wanting to run in some spl competitions this summer and need to build a new box for my subs. What should the tuning be for a daily driver but still hit some good db numbers. I was thinking around 40hz but not to sure.
    Thanks

well, the easiest way would be to hop on a termlab with a sealed box that has a flat response from 20-80hz. play a sweep, check the info on the computer, whichever frequency on the sweep was loudest is your resonant freq.

mid to low 50s i would guess... If you were building an SPL box id tune around 43-45 hz.

its impossible to say..nobody knows what your vehicle likes...

best way is to get access to a meter and test...Id go for less volume, more port and tune in the high 30's low 40's...
