Just wanted to share this with all the serious box builders. This will significantly cut down on time spent fumbling with table saws and circular saws. Now you can be your own Home Depot.

I've got a link somewhere (i'll look for it later) on how to build your own. And it isn't that difficult or expensive

cool. There are definitely advantages to both panel saws.

Too expensive to justify unless you're in business. My method is to get the full sheet cut into manageable pieces at the source, then trim to size with my table saw. $800 will get you one dandy table saw, with extension and super fence.

all u need is a circular saw, 2 c clamps, and a piece of molding. set the jig on the line to cut and run the saw down it. its easy, and cheap to cut perfect lines.
Why dont you just cut it into approximate sizes with a circular saw and then straighten the edges with a table saw? Youd only waste about .5 sqft of scraps if you have alot of cuts...and even then you could mash em up and use for sealing.
Take off every 'sig.
exactly, works just as good, all you have to worry about is keeping the circular saw against the molding which is easy, and takes only 1-3 min to setup tooOriginally Posted by analogkid
