talked to jl audio today

i talked to jl audio and these are the dimensions they gave me for a tuning of 32 hz for a ported box with 2 12" w3v2d4's.

they gave me the external dimensions of 31X15X19. LxWxH
they gave me port opening width of 2.25
and height of 13.5

they said i needed a port length of 18.5 but to not worry about the port extension
and just go straight back 15.25 and not worry about the port extension. He also told me to round off the edges.

the question i have is will this work for me.

right?

how on earth can you make a 15.25" port in a box thats 15" deep? espically when its 14.25" internally (assuming the box is .75" thick MDF and we are measuring from the mouth of the port (front of the box) to the inside wall of the back of the box)

round off edges = good

otherwise im quite confused. you will prolly have to bend the port.

I think he got his height mixed up with the depth.

Run the port up the back wall? Not too hard to do...
