    can u get to big for sealed?

    wonderin if having to big of a sealed box is bad at all for the sub.. will it increase spl or sq or decrease.. and im almost positive it will increase effieciency?

    A too big of a box can break your sub mechanically...overpower it past its XMAx. You have to keep how much power you wire to it in mind when building a box.

    Bigger box lowers your Qtc which lowers your mechanical power handling (increases efficiency), gives a "flatter" response as well as better transient response at the cost of overall output level and space.

    But as mentioned, you can go to big.

    my friend is 4'8" w 28F...she sags lik no other and shes only 15...its gross so yea u can get too big

    but seriously like iamamp3pimp said if your going that big then why not go ported?

    I would have to agree... go ported if you have the room.

    I put my subs in too big of a box, only by like .5 cu. ft. for both subs, and they LOVE around the 50Htz range but get down any lower than that and they extrude bad.

    Other than that though I would say go ported. Wish I did...
