1. ## Question for OLD_SCHOOL

I don't want to bug you but you seem to know what your doing when it comes to boxes, sooo....

lets assume i have a 5 ft^3 box and to tune it to lets say 40Hz, using a round port it requires a 5 in by 8 in long port. could i add another port the same size and length to add port area w/o changing frequency? or will the frequency be changed?

2. ## Re: Question for OLD_SCHOOL

it will change see this link for a pretty good explanation on how to figure it out the right lengths for multiple ports

ps in a 5 cube box with 1 5x8 inch port the tuning would be around 30 hz just off the top of my head with out doing the math

no link. But do you happen to know if winisd beta is accurate in calculating multiple ports?

9. ## Re: Question for OLD_SCHOOL

Also, does ne 1 know if winisd beta figures port displacement or do u have to do that yourself?

10. ## Re: Question for OLD_SCHOOL

sorry http://www.jlaudio.com/tutorials/ports/index.html

winisd beta is not accurate on hardly anything

winisd pro with the update is pretty good though
