Yes, the blade is sharp. Yes, it is the correct blade. Yes, I'm ticked off.
Anyways, I went to try and cut something today ... and my jigsaw decides to ride along the edge of the wood. You physically have to move the whole tool up and down and press into the wood with a great force in order for it to cut anything, which in turn heats up both the tool and blade way to quickly of course. Haven't used it in a while, but I don't remember it ever doing this. It's an older Black & Decker model.
Guess I need one of those orbital action jigsaws.
I tell ya ... I needed this piece today ... and right now I'm sick of my drill. I went along the line and drilled holes very close together, then stuck the drill down every 3-4 holes and pushed it either way to rid of the wood in between the holes.
Ah well. If you don't have any suggestions that work, guess it's time for a fire.
