To buy or to build

Ok guys i just purchased two 12" alpine Type R's. I have been battling with myself whether to buy or build a box. My dad has all the tools i need but after doing some searching i found what seems to be a nice box for a great price. has anyone ever bought from these people before? Can someone give reviews on this?

They even have cheaper box's but they are only made of 1/2" MDF.

nah, don't go pre-fab that way...if you're going to have it built for you, go to someone that really knows what they're doing, and have it spec-built for you

or do it homebrew...

Not really a great price man...$60 doesn't seem THAT bad, but then you add in probably $30 shipping and the price skyrockets. Take your time and build yourself a good quality box out of 3/4" MDF. It's rewarding to do something yourself, plus I'm sure your box will be even better than that one for $60 for about half the price!

60 bucks, thats 3 sheets of 3/4... 17 for 1 sheet, 20 for carpet, 4 for a terminal if you want one, and the satisfaction of doing your own work..and you can build it to spec and to fit perfectly for your car

Carpet isnt 20$. Carpet is 10$ go to Menards if u have one around there. i got 30 square feet. For under $10. Now that aint bad. 8x4 sheet of MDF are like $18 there, and Liquid nails roughly $2-4.
