Not much room behind the seats. You'll be putting the seats up a notch or 2.
In my son's 97 we made a wedge shaped box along the back wall. 36" I think. Went up to the ridge in the back wall, about 13.5". Had to remove tire jack and its mounting clip. The box was 3.5" deep at the top, 6.5" at the bottom. Subs gotta be mounted low so the magnets will fit. I forget how much volume it came out to, but it's not much. You need subs that'll work in a small enclosure.
Beyond that there's always a blow-thru....

hey thanks dave i took all that out already. I had one box built for it and he did a decent job on it but now i have to build a different one. I have to mount my amp between the speakers. I am pulling out the two 6x9's out of the back so i can build the box all the way across.

Howd u fit 6x9s in a Ford? Fords take 6x8s. Unless u have special enclosures for em.

Sorry if I make ur girlfriend wet, in advance.

I helped my friend build a box for his 98 s 10 and its pretty much the same size box that i had behind the seat of my 86 silverado so we used my dimensions but we went an inch bigger. I believe my dimensions were 18 long 13 high and 7 deep at the bottom and 3 deep at the top

or you could make a glass mold of the back wall and build off of that. you can use all of that air space you miss with a flat plane of MDF. remove as much of the factory plastic moldings as possible. then after you have the mold thick enough to remove, pop it out and build it up on the work bench. build off of that mold whether it be MDF or all glass.
