To bend or not to bend

If it's possible for me to get my required port length without making a "L" bend is that ok? Or is there any advantage to bending the port?

If I am correct, you don't want bends in the port. I asked the same thing and got that answer here - Fi BL18 Ported Box Design Help

You could make an external aeroport. I used to build slotted port boxes, but I'll never go back. You can tune an aeroport by changing the tube's length, it doesn't take up space in the box, and you can pipe it into wierd shaped areas. Slotted ports look nice, but I like aeroports
