    Doing free box designs

I wanna get better at box designing so I figured instead of doing endless free style design on my own it would be better to do designs for people here. Please fill out the forum if you want the design done.

Designs come with cut list and design view

    <Please post requests in thread>

    Re: Doing free box designs

    Heres the design @speckdzl4shzl

    Cut List:
    25 1/2" x 11 1/2" - Front
    15" x 11 1/2" - Side 1 & 2
    10 1/2" x 11 1/2" - Port piece 1
    12 3/4" x 11 1/2" - Port piece 2
    30" x 15" - Top & Bottom

-For a box of this size if you don't have access to a table saw to make the triangle glue blocks it not a huge deal. a good amount of glue and putting counter-sunk screws about every 4" should do it. If you can make them, I like to use 1" MDF but you can use the scrap pieces from the cutting.Doing free box designs-sub-design-2.jpgDoing free box designs-sub-design-3.jpg Use a good amount of glue on the triangle blocks.

Seems like your missing some measurements, and some are off.

    Or maybe I'm missing something

    Re: Doing free box designs

Hey I'd like to get a good ported box idea. I've build my own before tuned and all but it was for an SUV so space was no factor. With the measurements I have for my trunk I'm having difficulty with port length and all that for tuning. 38" is max length and 18" is max height.
    Vehicle : 2001 Impala
Location in the vehicle: Trunk facing back/ port back
Space available (Length x Width x Height): 38x30x18
Subwoofer make and model: Q Power Deluxe
    Subwoofer Size: 15
    Number of Subwoofers: 2
Type of Port (Kerfed, Slot, Aero, etc.): Slot
What type of music do you like?: Everything, rap mostly
Is your goal SPL or Everyday Music?: SPL
    Tuning Freq (Hz): 35-40
    Volume : 6-7 cu ft
special requests: would like one slot so there's more cu ft for subs

    Re: Doing free box designs

Im working on the designs right now guys. And to restate what i ALREADY stated. This is for practice. I'm trying to learn as much as i can. No im not nearly as good as the others that design boxes nor can i guarantee that I can make boxes that perform as well as the others. I am using the same calculators to do figure out the box tuning. These designs are for free, I dont plan on selling designs until i get much better. For the other more experienced designs out there. I would be open to any and all help.
